This highly depends on the season you will be coming to Crete. For April-May and and October-November you are advised to bring a light jacket with you as the weather can be cooler than the summer months. An extra pair of shoes is also advised.
For the summer months make sure you bring your swim suit and a good suncream as the Cretan sun can be quite strong at times!
In general forApril-May and and October-November temperature is about 20-25 degrees of celcious with a few days of rain.
For June-September temperature gradually increases from about 30 degrees to even 40 in some hot days of July and August.
Crete is an island of unparalleled beauty. Its unique climate renders it ideal to visit all year round. However, we would definitely recommend the months of April, May, June, September and October where the weather is good and not very hot. Around this time Crete is also less crowded so people can have a better taste of places with general intrerest such as the archaeological site of the Palace of Knossos, Phaistos or the historical island of Spinalonga.
